Our England hiking tours will take you on a journey through the less travelled. You’ll explore the Lake District’s forests and mountains to its meandering seaside paths alongside pristine beaches and rugged cliffs. And you’ll discover the Yorkshire moors—so dramatically portrayed in the classic British novels of Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and The Secret Garden—have a character all their own.

Fellwalker and guidebook author Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast trail inspired our North England guided walking tour. Treading on stone steps and dirt singletrack paths, you’ll walk through the heart of the Lake District National Park and visit the historic home of a literary great, William Wordsworth. As you walk the rolling pastures of the Yorkshire dales, you’ll pass an ancient stone circle and stop at a farm to watch a farmer working with his border collies to herd sheep. You’ll explore the spectacular ruins of Richmond Castle and Fountains Abbey, with time to explore the highlights of the charming towns of Helmsley, Richmond and York along the way. Throughout your England guided tour, you’ll learn about the region’s history and traditions and take tea (or a pint) at classic pubs.
